Background:
My background may seem unconventional, but it has uniquely shaped and significantly benefited my current work. During my bachelor’s degree, I acquired valuable skills in analytical and business tools, gaining a deeper understanding of financial and global business landscapes. My master’s studies in plant science and biotechnology involved investigating plant virus life cycles and exploring their potential for genetic manipulation. In my Ph.D., I focused on fundamental science, researching DNA repair mechanisms and their performance. My postdoctoral research then shifted towards applied science, where I utilized plants and yeast to produce natural pigments.
Current work:
We work on next-generation crop breeding for more sustainable farming and use synthetic biology methods to produce natural and healthier materials for the foodtech industry.
