Background:

Hagai is both an underwater photographer and a marine biologist, finding interest in documenting the underwater world that is out of reach to most people.  At the Morris Kahn Marine Research Station, he works as the media manager and photographer, responsible for visualizing the research being conducted for both the scientific world and the public. He also in charge of the data base updates and manages the rocky reefs monitoring program as one of our most qualified CCR divers. His passion and goal are to achieve as much data as possible per dive in a non-destructive manner and share it with the world. No wonder he works with us from day one!

Current Research:

Hagai is just finished his MSc. degree with Prof. Tali Mass and published an article in Frontiers about monitoring corals reqruits at the mesophotic depths. His upcomming focus is going to be a way to identify organisms underwater from video footage in combination with computer learning.
