Background:
Dr. Amir Neori is a Research Fellow at the Morris Kahn Marine Research Station, Department of Marine Biology, Leon Charney School of Marine Sciences, University of Haifa, and at the Interuniversity Institute for Marine Sciences in Eilat, Israel. He continues his research along the lines he did at his previous capacity for over three decades at the National Center for Mariculture, Eilat (Israel Oceanographic & Limnological Research, Ltd.). There, he led multidisciplinary research in mainly warm-water mariculture regarding sustainable aquaculture and related issues.
Neori obtained his degrees from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, the Weizmann Institute of Science in Rehovot, and the University of California San Diego – Scripps Institution of Oceanography.
Over the years, Neori went on sabbaticals at the University of Florida, Bar Ilan University, Tel Aviv University, Scripps Institution of Oceanography, University of Haifa, Wageningen University, The Netherlands, and University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain.
